Cyl 100/Cary5000

The Cyl 100/Cary5000 (with TC 1 Temperature Controller) provides Peltier-based temperature control for a 100 mm pathlength cylindrical cuvette in the Cary 4000, 5000, 6000i and 7000 UV/Vis/NIR Spectrophotometers. Place the filled cuvette in a cradle and screw down a cover, thus surrounding the cuvette with temperature-controlled surfaces. Place two magnetic stir bars in the cuvette, one under each stopper. Set the temperature and stir speed. Maintain a precise, uniform temperature in the cell. If needed, a second cell may be placed in the reference beam, with or without temperature control.

The Cyl 100/Cary5000 replaces the standard cuvette holder of the spectrometer. Two options are available for bringing utilities (tubes and wires) out of the sample compartment. For laboratories that have the Agilent extended “”nose”” assembly, we can provide a simple access plate that mounts below the nose. Otherwise, you may purchase our PANEL/5000 option, which permits connections of the front of the spectrophotometer. Operate the TC 1/Single Temperature Controller using the menu button or through program T-App available from Quantum Northwest, capable of maintaining complex temperature profiles. Use an ADL program to coordinate the Cyl 100/Cary5000 with the spectrophotometer.
