Custom Design
Custom temperature control solutions
We can make one-of-a-kind temperature-control systems for the specialized needs of spectrometer manufacturers, scientific instrumentation companies, and researchers. We like the challenge of taking on new custom projects, as it adds to our product offer and shows us how temperature-control can make a difference in many different fields of research.

Our engineering process
Custom development at QNW goes beyond simple adaptations. We work closely with OEMs and researchers to understand instrument designs, optical paths, and experimental constraints. Our engineering process involves:
Dimensional capacity
We assess space constraints within the sample compartment to ensure a precise fit for single- or multi-cuvette holders.
Optimized optical alignment
Our designs position the cuvette precisely within the optical beam for accurate light transmission and measurement integrity. If needed, we take direct measurements from sample compartments or existing holders.
Utility
management
We evaluate how to route electrical connections, coolant lines, and other utilities without obstructing critical instrument functions.

Flexible pricing
For OEMs integrating temperature control into existing commercial spectrometers, we typically do not charge for the initial design and adaptation process—our growing library of compatible instruments benefits both QNW and our partners. However, for entirely new or specialized custom solutions outside of standard spectrometer adaptations, design and development costs may apply. We work closely with each client to determine the best approach based on project scope and requirements.
