Absorbance, FluorescenceThe Turret 4 is a four-position, rotating, temperature-controlled cuvette holder designed for fluorescence and absorbance measurements. Each of the four cuvette positions features three optical ports, enabling 180° and 90° beam paths. The rotating turret allows seamless switching between cuvettes mid-experiment while maintaining consistent temperature across all four cells. Integrated stirring ensures uniform mixing when needed.
Operating from -15 °C to 110 °C, the Turret 4 provides precise thermal stability using thermoelectric temperature control and a water-cooled heat exchanger. To prevent condensation and maintain optical clarity at lower temperatures, inert dry gas flow is required. Like all Quantum Northwest sample holders, the Turret 4 provides unsurpassed temperature control, ensuring stable hold temperatures within a fraction of a degree.
Control is straightforward with the TC-1 Temperature Controller, included with purchase. Users can set temperatures, stirring speeds, and ramp rates via the TC-1’s front panel or through T-App, Quantum Northwest’s optional control software. T-App offers advanced features such as real-time plotting, scripting, and direct sample temperature measurement when paired with the Probe/10K sensor. Even without T-App, the TC-1 display provides a direct readout of sample temperature when using the Probe/10K.
The Turret 4 integrates with a wide range of spectrophotometers. The standard model mounts easily to both imperial and metric optical breadboards, with additional models available for specific instruments.
