qX2x2
Dual, user-customizable, air-cooled, Peltier-controlled cuvette holders with two optical portsThe qX2x2 is an Air-Cooled pair of temperature controlled cuvette holders providing independent control for both the sample and reference cuvettes. With optical ports on each side of both reference and sample cuvettes, use the qX2x2 for absorbance measurements or any experiment that can be performed using the 180° beam path.
We have mounting options compatible with a wide array of spectrophotometers from different manufacturers, or contact us today for a custom mounting solution to meet your experimental needs! Check out the available options below!
Part of our Air-Cooled line of cuvette holders, the qX2x2 is ideal for temperature ranges of 0 °C to 110 °C with no liquid cooling required. No longer is the instrument required to be tethered to a water bucket, chiller, or other circulating liquid reservoir in order to set and maintain precise sample temperatures. The qX2x2 will maintain precise sample and reference temperatures with both holders linked or independently running at different temperatures.
The qX2x2 also has the ability to stir both the sample and reference cuvettes at a steady reproducible rate, and the ability to flood the optics of both cuvette holders in a controlled gaseous environment while working at lower temperatures to maintain optical clarity. Use the qX2x2 to observe absorbance spectra at precisely maintained temperatures, or for temperature ramping, to observe how absorbance changes with temperature.
Purchase the low temperature option, consisting of windowed vests and capability for liquid cooling, to easily operate the qX2x2 from 0 °C down to -35 °C. Purchase the extended temperature option to extend operation above 110 °C to 150 °C for all your high temperature experiments. Purchase both to create the ultimate, do-anything device!
It is easy to operate the qX2x2 using the TC 1 Temperature Controller, included in the purchase price. The sample and reference temperature, stirring speeds, and temperature ramp rates may be controlled manually using the TC 1 menu control buttons on the front panel, or by using Quantum Northwest’s computer control software, T-App, available for purchase.
