AbsorbanceThe Cyl 100 is a Peltier-based, temperature-controlled holder designed for 100 mm pathlength cylindrical cuvettes. The cuvette sits securely in a temperature-controlled cradle, with a screw-down cover ensuring uniform thermal contact for precise and stable temperature regulation.
Operating from -15 °C to 110 °C, the Cyl 100 delivers exceptional thermal stability using thermoelectric temperature control and a water-cooled heat exchanger. Equipped with two magnetic stir bars, the Cyl 100 provides precise control over both temperature and stirring speed, ensuring consistent, uniform conditions for long-path absorbance measurements. Like all Quantum Northwest sample holders, the Cyl 100 delivers unsurpassed temperature stability, maintaining set temperatures within a fraction of a degree.
Control is straightforward with the TC-1 Temperature Controller, included with purchase. Users can set temperatures, stirring speeds, and ramp rates via the TC-1’s front panel or through T-App, Quantum Northwest’s optional control software. T-App offers advanced features, including real-time plotting, scripting, and direct sample temperature measurement when paired with the optional Probe/10K sensor. Even without T-App, the TC-1 display provides a direct readout of sample temperature when using the Probe/10K.
The Cyl 100 integrates with a wide range of spectrophotometers. The standard model mounts easily to both imperial and metric optical breadboards, with additional models available for specific instruments.
